How did you spend your first hari raya week?
It is Daanish's first hari raya. So, we decided to introduce him to the extended family members. We spent the first two days in Penang. On the first day, we visited Tok Chaq, Mak Ngah, Tok Cik Ban, Tok Su, Mak Teh, and Pak Cik Bu. On the second day, we visited Pak Cik Li and Cik Ani. Luckily, both days were very sunny, but extremely hot.
On the third day, we drove down to Melaka. We left my parents' house at about 10 AM and arrived around 5 PM. Alhamdulillah, it was a pleasant drive. We stopped to have lunch at Tapah R&R for about an hour.
In Melaka, we met Pak Chaq and his family, who traveled all the way from Alor Star to visit Lin's parents. After dinner, they left for Kuala Lumpur. Today, we just hang at home and went out only for dinner at Johnny's Restaurant. We also played with some fireworks and showed Daanish the sparklers.
Tomorrow, we will be driving back to Kuala Lumpur for my cousin's wedding.
Although there were lots of long-distance travelings, we all had fun. We thank Allah for protecting us through our journey. InsyaAllah, we will do this again next year.
