After a relaxing 3-hour train ride from Milan, we finally arrived in what's described as one of the most romantic spots in the world. We had a €21 Italian-style dinner for 2 and crawled into the hay fairly early.
The following morning it was grizzling, but that didn't stop us from carrying-on our tour. We walked straight into the heart of Venice and was left amazed when we finally reached Piazza San Marco. Here lies the famous sights of Venice; Basilica San Marco, Palazzo Ducale and Campanile. A bunch of pictures later, we had to walk back to the hotel coz the camera ran out of battery. On the way back, we stopped at McDonald and spent €14 on 2 meal sets. We both then agreed that eating at McDonald in Italy wasn't such a good idea and it won't happen again.
That evening through the next day, we basically exhaust ourselves just by walking around Venice. From North to South, from East to West. There were churches everywhere, literally every 3 blocks. We took pictures in front of some beautiful churches, big and small. Colorful buildings all throughout Venice make it looks all bright and felicitous.
One of the famous objects in Venice is the Gondola. By choice, we didn't go on one. It was freakin' expensive, I tell'ya! No regret there. Of course the famous Venetian Carnival is omnipresent. Everywhere shops and street vendors offer the mysterious, charming masks in a great variety of colors, sizes and designs.
Next stop: Florence.
Feel free to comment on the pictures, but keep in mind that I've all the authority to delete any comment I want and ban you from commenting. So, might wanna think twice before writing anything feisty.
