Funtopia

Weekends are usually my time with the family. The wife and I are always finding fun things and places for the kids to do and visit.

Weeks ago, on one of the train rides home from work, my wife saw Funtopia through the windows of a shopping mall in Subang Jaya called SS15 Courtyard. Since Daanish loves wall climbing, we decided to give it a shot.

We arrived at the place around 11 AM. It was only a 15-minute drive from our place. Looking for a parking spot was a breeze. Since it was Saturday, we thought the place would be packed, but it wasn't. It was actually somewhat smaller than what we had imagined.

At the counter, we were disappointed to find out that our son was a bit too light to climb the walls as the required minimum weight was 20kg. So, we signed him up for "All Attractions" as he can still participate in other activities. We got Ayra signed up for the "Magic Maze". (Click here to see the price list.)

Daanish was really nervous when he went on the "Jungle Ropes" for the first time. At one point, his legs were literally shaking! A few more rounds after that were too easy for him and he eventually got bored. He did not do a lot of climbings though because the ones he's allowed to go on were for babies. He then decided to join Ayra in the "Magic Maze".

An hour passed and we left Funtopia with the hope of returning when Daanish is heavy enough.

We then drove to my folks' in Kota Damansara for a swim in the pool. Since they live nearby one of the new MRT stations, we decided to try it out. We got off at the next stop and had a quick and light dinner.

Because yesterday was a long [but fun] day, this morning, everyone slept in. It is Sunday after all.
