Day of Arafah is When Prayers are Readily Accepted

This evening, as soon as the sun slips, we have entered the day of Arafah. There are many benefits that Allah has bestowed on those who do good deeds today.

Prophet Muhammad S.A.W said:

The best prayer is the prayer recited on the day of Arafah.

Therefore, take the opportunity of this glorified day by praying to Allah SWT.

Zikr and Prayer of the Prophet on the Day of Arafah

The best prayers and zikr that can be practiced are as mentioned in the sahih hadith:

The best prayer is the prayer on the day of Arafah, and the best zikr that I recite and also recited by the prophets before me is,

ُÙ„ْÙƒُ ÙˆَÙ„َÙ‡ُ الْØَÙ…ْدُ ÙˆَÙ‡ُÙˆَ عَÙ„َÙ‰ ÙƒُÙ„ِّ Ø´َÙ‰ْØ¡ٍ Ù‚َدِير

La Ilaaha IllAllah wahdahu laa syariika lahu, lahul mulku walahul hamdu wahuwa ‘ala kulli syai-in qadir.

Meaning: There is no one who has the right to be worshiped except Allah, there is no partner for Him, His is the power and His is all praise, and He is Almighty over all things.

(Hadith narrated by Al-Tirmizi)

In addition to practicing this prayer, also ask Allah SWT that we all:
  • Rewarded with prolonged life and overflowing sustenance
  • Given good health
  • Obtain the syafa'at of Rasulullah S.A.W
  • Become a member of heaven in the hereafter

In shaa Allah, may all our prayers be answered on the day of Arafah.
