We Made Fudgy Brownies

Alhamdulillah, since Ramadhan commenced, we've been getting plenty of food from our wonderful neighbors; Malay kuih, pies, pastries, porridge and such. So, we wanted to return the favors, but didn't want to give something we simply bought.

Two weeks ago, I baked fudgy brownies for iftar and it turned out great. It was delicious with chocolate oozing out of each piece. Of course, thanks to @khairulaming for sharing his recipe. So, I decided to bake more yesterday, but this time they were for the neighbors.

It is really easy to make, it'll be impossible for you to screw it up. Just follow this recipe:

In a large bowl, mix the following ingredients and whisk gently:
- 250g butter, melted
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar

Then, whisk in the following ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla essence
- 3/4 tsp salt

After that, sieve these ingredients into the bowl and mix well.
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder

Finally, fold in 200g cooking chocolate bars. The chunkier the bars, the better.

Transfer the batter into a baking dish and bake it at a temperature of 175°C for 25-30 minutes.

The neighbors loved it! One of them even said that the amount of chocolate was so generous, he was certain they were home-baked.
