How to Make a Birthday Celebration at Home Fun

Since going out to celebrate isn't an option at the moment, we tried making the kids' birthday celebration at home interesting. We asked them where they want to have it and what they would like to eat.

Ayra wanted to celebrate her birthday over breakfast, like we did for Aleesa's, but because her birthday was on Friday and it's a school day, we had to move it to dinner.

We decorated the top floor deck with banners and candles and ordered a few dishes like meatballs and mini burgers from one of our favorite caterers. The cake from The Buttercake Factory was very pretty and delicious.

Ayra's a big girl now. She no longer fancies playing with Barbie dolls and other girly toys. Figuring out gifts for her wasn't easy. We got her an Instax camera and a ukulele. And she absolutely loved them!

We also rented a blown up water slide, which took up the entire area under the porch, for the whole weekend. The kids went crazy!

Ayra is an amazing little girl. She's extremely physically strong, smart and loves arts and crafts. She now does both rhythmic and artistic gymnastics by choice. She neither wears her heart on her sleeve nor gets intimidated easily.

Can't believe our little gymnast is 8 years old. Happy Birthday, Kakak! We love you very much.
